Alsace Village – Web portal
The Challenge
The Solution
Home-made design:
- From the pictures provided by the customer, Bysoft designed several homepages with different styles.
- After several exchanges, the customer validated the design then Bysoft provided the design of the other pages.
Flash and animations:
- In order to make the website entertaining, the main menu has been developed in Flash, with some effects on the logo and the menu items.
- We also added two slideshows to make this homepage more alive and attractive.
- The photos gallery uses the Polaroid module for an eye-pleasing presentation.
Content management system:
- The design has been integrated into the Joomla CMS.
- The homepage consists in content blocks and slideshows that can manage entirely by our customer.
- Content pages are used for information pages.
- The restaurant organizes events every week so that the event manager promotes these events through a calendar.
Multilanguage:
- The website is available in three languages: French, English and Chinese.
- Each page can be translated into any of these languages.
- This translation is easily managed through the back office of Joomla.
The Results
Alsace Village is now one of the most famous French restaurants in Guangzhou. It was actually voted as the “Best French Restaurant 2010”, by the magazine “That's Guangzhou” in September 2010.
The restaurant organizes events every week and often renews its menu.
The website is very often updated with news on the home page, events and videos.
Our designer proved his talent by creating the right balance between tradition and modernity on this website, and we are really happy to see that our client’s business is now thriving!
