The Luxury Club
The challenge
The Luxury Club, the first brand authorized luxury e-tailer in China, was created in 2010.
Their website and e-magazine allow sophisticated Chinese customers to have access to internationally known designer brands, high fashion items and quality lifestyle products
Through their strategic partnership with TaoBao and their almost 370MM registered users, The Luxury Club is able to give brands unparalleled access to the broadest array of today’s and tomorrow’s Chinese luxury consumers.
The Luxury Club (abbr. as TLC) selected Magento Enterprise as their eCommerce solution and chose Bysoft to make the customization. TLC is selling luxury products through Magento platform.
The e-commerce is part of a strong investment on the Internet and the international brand.
The project
Bysoft accompanied The Luxury Club as part of a development of an e-commerce platform based on Magento Enterprise Edition.
The Facts:
The Luxury Club adopts private sale model with Magento Enterprise Edition.
TLC also integrates with Taobao account login, one of the largest B2C platform. In this case, users won't be bothered to register a new account to access private sale boutique. By this way, this enabled users to be able to login into TLC website with their Taobao ID. This allow user to not register again, and most user account information could be retrieved from Taobao and will be inserted into TLC website too.
Chinese Localization of Magento
- China's provinces/cities dropdown for addresses, it's the best and easiest way for end users to manipulate their addresses information. It also reduces the chance of wrong addresses.
- Edit address on the fly during checkout, it is a better user experience that enables user to change their existing address without go to their account page.
- Combine first name and last name together to full name for Chinese people.
- Invitation system content: enhanced referral system, so that end users could be rewarded for inviting their friends as well as for their referrals’ purchases.

The results
The user interface redefined for the user experience according to Bysoft's professional and strong e-commerce experience.
Bysoft faced the following difficulty: data structure is totally different between Taobao user account and Magento user account.
Bysfot deeply analyzed each data item in both Taobao and Magento, and made a mapping for each.
Eventually, Magento could retrieve all useful account information from Taobao.
